Rutland Investment Managers work with a large cross section of employers, to gain an understanding of their needs and objectives. This enables us to design and deliver the correct corporate pension strategy for your organisation and its employees.
There is now legislation in place that will in future require all employers to provide every employee with the opportunity to invest in a pension plan, with employer contributions at a level specified in law. Failure to comply will result in employers facing stringent criminal proceedings including the possibility of up to a 2 years prison sentence and £50,000 fine. At Rutland Investment Managers we can review any existing schemes that you may have and advise whether these are likely to comply with the legislation and also advise you on how to pro-actively manage the requirements of these legislative changes to allow you to benefit from the kudos of setting up a private scheme rather than relying on the government arranged Personal Accounts and to minimise the impact of sudden enforcement of this law coming into effect.
We have established through practical experience that many employers wish the information available to employees to be both easy to understand and accessible. By arranging plans on this basis with the flexibility of internet access where required clients are able to keep track of their plans with the benefit to the employer of less time being taken on administration of employee enquiries.

We believe the critical factor in all forms of investment is the performance of the underlying fund manager. In recognition of this we have continual dialogue with key investment houses.

Working with Professionals
The Landmark Financial Asset Search tool was developed as a result of work initially undertaken by Rutland Investment Managers. This is a market leading tool for probate solicitors, which allows unclaimed assets to be traced. Rutland work closely with a large number of solicitors throughout Scotland to enhance the basic asset search and to provide professional financial advice to their clients where desired. There has been increasing pressure on probate solicitors to ensure that clients are re-united with unclaimed assets and to locate all assets to allow the full value of the estate to be declared for Inheritance Tax purposes. This service can reduce the incidence and liability that may arise from potential complaints that could occur if all assets are not sourced during the probate process. |
